    about the album

As a child in rural Missouri, I grew up knowing that whenever I lost touch with myself, I could always find a feeling of being loved and whole just the way I am with Nature.

As an adult with a very full life in a rapidly changing world, I sometimes find it hard to remember this connection unless I deliberately make space for it. But it’s always been there, waiting for me to remember.

One of the best ways I know to do this is by gardening. Just being a collaborator with Nature – planting things and watching them grow – has been so nourishing and hope-inspiring! It reminds me that I’m a part of it all. Naturally, it makes me want to sing.

So this collection of songs, written and recorded over the past 7 years, comes from my desire to look at what is happening on our planet as part of a longer game of staying connected to what never changes, while celebrating and nourishing what IS alive, right here, right now.

I hope these songs remind you of your own light when times are dark, and to look for the light all around.

From my singing heart to yours,

    Trina
